The moments behind the memories.

Whats Behind is a Wedding Podcast experience created in Guatemala to keep the part of a wedding that usually disappears: what people said.

Why we created Whats Behind

A wedding is one of the most photographed days of a life. Almost none of what is said that day is recorded.

At the tables, between old friends, between parents and children, people tell stories they have never told and say things they may not say again. Often the couple never hears them. Those conversations end when the night does.

We built a place where they can happen on purpose, be guided with care and become something you can listen to again.

There's always more to the story.

Behind every wedding photograph there is a friendship of twenty years, a family's way of teasing each other, the long version of how you met. That is what the name means: not behind the scenes, but behind the story.

Our philosophy

The technology disappears.

Microphones, lights and cameras are there to serve the conversation. If we do our work well, nobody remembers them.

Stories, not recordings.

We are not a production company that makes podcasts. We preserve stories through conversation, and we edit them as stories.

Emotion, with restraint.

We don't push anyone to cry or to perform. Real moments need room, not direction.

Experience today

During the wedding, your guests take part in something different: a place to sit, remember and laugh together.

Legacy tomorrow

After the wedding, those conversations become a memory in the voices of the people who were there. Its meaning grows with time.

A good question does more than a good microphone.

We prepare before we arrive. In your Story Session™ we learn who matters, how they are connected and which stories are worth asking about. On the day we listen, ask again and leave room for silence. The job is to make people forget the microphone and start remembering.

A voice carries what an image can't.

Timing, warmth, the way someone says your name. Today it sounds ordinary. Years from now it is a record of a person, a relationship and a time in your life.

Your wedding will be remembered. Let it be heard.
